FCMC to Add Rural Health Clinic for Almost $26 Million

Floyd County Medical Center (FCMC) will invest almost $26 million to add a rural health clinic onto the existing hospital.
FCMC Marketing Director Erin Gansen Luong says the $25.8 capital improvement project is an effort to meet the growing needs of Charles City-area patients. Â
The FCMC Board of Trustees recently approved the project, which is still at least nine months from getting off the ground. During that time, Luong says they will work with the architect to define and finalize designs for the clinic, which will also factor in hospital staff input.
Luong adds that once construction begins, it will take about two years for completion.
