The Floyd County Medical Center clinic in Charles City will soon offer patients new, extended hours of operation.
That’s FCMC nurse practitioner Jessica Shea-Hebrink, who says the added hours will accommodate patients seeking care for mild and/or non-life threatening medical conditions.
Shea-Hebrink says in emergency situations, patients should still go to the FCMC emergency room. However, if you do come into the clinic and an ER visit is deemed necessary, they will make that recommendation and refer you over to the hospital for treatment.
She advises patients that walk-ins are welcome, but you should also be prepared for the possibility of waiting to be seen by medical staff.Â
