Tickets On Sale for New Hampton Tribe Trail Steak Dinner Fundraiser

Fundraising continues for the Tribe Trail in New Hampton.

The Annual Tribe Trail Steak Dinner will be a drive-thru meal at the Pub at the Pinicon from 4 to 6 pm on Sunday, March 26. Tickets are available on a pre-sale basis only for $25. Proceeds will go into the maintenance account for the trail. This spring/summer, the Park-Rec department will reseal the blacktop portion of the trail around the Industrial Park, High School-Middle School and the CWC.

Bids for this year’s resealing project are now being accepted through April 5th.  The Park-Rec expects to have reseal the trail every three-to-five years, which will become a bigger task when Phase III of the trail is completed.

The final leg of the project that will connect the trail from Linn Avenue on the south side of New Hampton with the Chickasaw Wellness Center. Mayor Bobby Schwickerath says the push continues to start Phase III construction later this year.

Officials are targeting the Spring of 2024 for the trail to be completed. When finished, the Tribe Trail will be a little over five miles in total length and connect Mikkelson Park on the east side of New Hampton to the Industrial Park on the west side of town.

You can find out more information about the project and the steak dinner on the Tribe Trail Facebook page.
