The next YQCA session for Chickasaw County 4Hers is this Wednesday (03.08).
Chickasaw County ISU Extension Director Patrick Dirks says the goal of the program is to help youth and their parents better understand what they can do to produce the safest food possible.
According to ISU extension, with over 15,000 Iowa 4-H’ers enrolled in livestock projects, about 17 million pounds of meat is produced each year.
Dirks also reminds parents that registration for 7th through 12 graders to participate in the County Wide Intermediate Senior Lock-In at the Charles City YMCA is due by Friday, March 17th.
Cost is $10.00 for members and $15 for non-members.
