North Iowa Chapters Continue to Celebrate FFA Week

It’s National FFA Week for area high school chapters across north Iowa, the state and the country through Saturday (02.25).

Like many FFA students, Charles City senior Lilly Luft says her participation is a family tradition.

This is the final National FFA Week as an Agricultural Education Instructor and FFA advisor for Jim Russ, who is retiring after 15 years with the New Hampton School District.

Russ thanked his School Board this week for the opportunity and for allowing Chickasaws FFA students a role in the interview process to name his successor.

The hiring of Rachel Bauler as New Hampton High School ag-ed instructor was made official this week by the School Board.

The new Central Springs FFA chapter marked their celebration this week by announcing that the Central Springs Ag-Ed Boosters had reached their goal of raising $400,000 to support their FFA program.
