Luther College Duo Performs Live Valentine’s Concert on Iowa Public Radio

A Luther College music faculty husband and wife duo will perform a live Valentine’s Day piano concert that can be heard statewide.

Luther College piano faculty members, Xiao Hu and Du Huang, will have their performance broadcast live on Iowa Public Radio Classical at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14.  The broadcast can also be streamed at iowapublicradio.org by clicking “All Streams” at the top right corner of the home screen and selecting IPR Classical. 

Huang and Hu perform regularly as the Unison Piano Duo, which the New York Concert Review has remarked is “sparkling and fleeting…unusually high level of ensemble playing.” 

They’ve also been featured on National Public Radio’s Performance Today and played piano duo recitals at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and Merkin Concert Hall in New York City. They’ve also performed abroad in Brazil, China, the Czech Republic, Japan, Malaysia and the Philippines.
