Chickasaw County Conservation Hosts Owl Prowl Valentine’s Night

If you want a different kind of date night for Valentines and love the outdoors, then the “Owl Prowl” Tuesday night at the Twin Ponds Nature Center east of Ionia could be the right call, on a couple of levels.

That’s Naturalist Matt Crayne with Chickasaw County Conservation, who says the Owl Prowl is free, but pre-registration is required by calling 641-394-4714.

The Twin Ponds Nature Center is also celebrating its 20th year in 2023. Crayne says he’s been with the Center for 13 years himself and invites you and your group to come on out.

Chickasaw County Conservation is also now taking reservations for seasonal camping sites at Airport Lake northwest of New Hampton.  Those interested are advised to fill out an application soon to make sure you get a spot.
