Charles City’s Wicks Elected President of State Chamber Board of Directors

The Iowa Association of Chambers of Commerce (IACC) has announced that Charles City Community Development Director Mark Wicks has been elected to serve as President of the 2023 IACC Board of Directors.

“Mark is a great asset to our 2023 Board of Directors,” said Madison Mills, IACC Executive Director. “We are confident his years of experience in the chamber industry will help strengthen our organization.”

Wicks, who manages both the Charles City Area Chamber of Commerce and the Main Street Charles City program, has served on the IACC Board since October 2018 and was elected to the IACC Executive Board in 2021. He served as IACC Secretary/Treasurer in 2021 and is currently Board Vice-President for 2022. He has been in his position as Community Development Director in Charles City since April 2013.

“It is my honor to represent Charles City and North Iowa on the state level through the IACC and the good work it does educating and assisting chamber professionals throughout Iowa,” said Wicks. “By talking and working together, we benefit all of our chambers and communities.”

IACC is governed by an 11-member Board of Directors representing more than 100 chambers of commerce across all regions of Iowa, with the purpose of providing guidance in the areas of organizational sustainability, growth, public awareness and member programming.
