National Weather Service Des Moines has a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 9 pm this evening for Hancock, Cerro Gordo, Emmet, Kossuth, Winnebago, Worth and Palo Alto counties.

Snow expected with total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches possible. Winds gusting to as high as 40 mph will cause blowing snow at times, mainly this afternoon and evening.
