Soybean Export Inspections Climb While Corn and Wheat Decline

The latest export inspection report from the USDA shows a big surge in U.S. soybean shipments, even as corn and wheat overseas demand pulls back.
Soybean inspections jumped to nearly 2.5 million metric tons last week—more than double what we saw during the same period last year. That brings the season total to nearly 10 million metric tons, well ahead of last year’s pace.
Meanwhile, corn inspections dropped slightly to 625,000 tons, trailing behind last year’s performance. Wheat shipments also slowed down, slipping to around 183,000 tons. Overall, while wheat and corn exports are running behind last year’s numbers, soybeans continue to lead the pack.
