For the third straight year, Spring Cleanup for Charles City residents will be a dropoff event at the Shaw Avenue dump site.
City Administrator Steve Diers says you must show a copy of your utility bill or similar proof of residency to drop off and dispose of one truckload of discarded items.
For those who don’t have the means to take items to the dumpsite, Diers says the City will again provide a free, one-day pickup service.
Diers says you must be signed up by Tuesday (April 23) and have your items ready for easy pickup Wednesday morning.
Spring Cleanup runs April 20th through April 27th, with truckload dropoffs accepted at the Shaw Avenue dump site from 7 am to 7 pm Saturdays and Sunday and from 9 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday.
