“Diamond Details” Pop Up Tent at Friday’s Nashua-Plainfield Football Game

Nashua-Plainfield fans attending Friday night’s football game against Grundy Center are invited to visit the “Diamond Details” pop-up tent.

Activities Director Suzy Turner says they’ll be distributing brochures regarding the new baseball-softball complex coming to the site of the former Plainfield school.

Turner says people can also sign up for prize drawings.

The new complex will eventually relocate Huskies baseball games from the field owned by the Big 4 Fairgrounds. Turner says that will give the program a place to call their own, and something they don’t currently have in Nashua.

Turner notes the softball team has played for years under the lights in Plainfield, but they need upgrading, making it the right time to develop the new complex for both teams.  The school district hopes to have the baseball team ready to play in Plainfield by the 2024 season.
