A railroad crossing about three miles northeast of Charles City will be closed most of next week.
Floyd County Engineer Jacob Page says work will begin Tuesday morning to replace railroad crossing on Underwood Avenue, just north of 190th Street.
Page says the railroad crossing is scheduled to be closed off to traffic around 7 a.m. Tuesday and will remain closed through Friday, September 9th.
During construction, Page says detours will utilize 155th Street, Shadow Avenue and Highway 18.
