A Chickasaw County woman was killed Monday night in a lawn mowing accident.
The Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to an accident shortly before 8 p.m. on Monday, about 10 miles southeast of Ionia. Upon arrival it was determined that 71-year-old Nancy Demro was operating a lawn mower at 2705 Ivanhoe Avenue, just south of the intersection with Highway 346, when the lawn mower overturned, and pinned her under. Demro was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Chickasaw County Medical Examiner also assisted with the investigation.
