Santa’s Shine and Show Takes to the Streets Charles City Saturday

The Christmas in July spirit will be alive and well Saturday in Charles City.

Santa’s Shine and Show, presented by the Charles City Rotary Club, returns with a new format according to organizer Tami Vetter.

Vetter says Saturday’s forecast of sunshine and 80 degrees likely means large car show participation.

Vetter adds that cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles, even mopeds are welcome to register at Central Park by noon Saturday with the car show from noon to 2 p.m.

There will also be live music and a variety of food trucks on hand along with the Christmas in July retail promotion. The Charles City BBQ Challenge follows Saturday afternoon with eight teams currently signed up for the BBQ rib contest and $1,000 in prizes to be awarded.
