No Tokens Needed at Fourth of July Celebration in Charles City

Buying food and drink at the Fourth of July Celebration in Charles City will not require the use of special tokens in Central Park this year.

The Charles City Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that it will not utilize the token system for people to purchase items from vendors or activity providers in the park this Sunday or Monday. Individual vendors will be accepting cash or debit cards, and the public will not need to purchase special tokens as has been the case for a number of years.

However, Party in the Party in Central Park on Friday night, presented by Main Street Charles City and not the Chamber, will still be utilizing its usual token system. Party in the Park tokens will not be accepted by vendors in the park for the Chamber-organized activities on July 3rd or July 4th. 

The special Party in the Park tokens will be accepted at the final PIP event on August 12th.
