ISU Extension Spring Field Day Wednesday Near Nashua

The ISU Northeast Research and Demonstration Farm near Nashua will host its “Annual Spring Field Day” this Wednesday afternoon.

The program will include insights on crop weather and trends for the 2022 growing season, which is off to a good start with recent rains combined with a stretch of warm temps.  ISU Extension Agronomist Terry Basol says corn growth is reaping the benefits.

Basol says the weather thus far for 2022 is vastly improved over the dry weather concerns at this time a year ago.

Other topics for Wednesday’s field day from 1 to 4:30 p.m. include soil fertility management with current fertilizer prices, soybean cyst nematode management, and the latest on crop diseases.  CCA credits are also available and the event is free and open to the public.
