Chickasaw County Seeks More Poll Workers for June 7th Primary

Voters are being reminded that you must be registered with a political party to cast ballots for Tuesday’s June 7th Primary election.

In the primary, Republican voters vote on Republican Party races while Democrats vote on Democratic Party races. Chickasaw County Auditor Stephanie Mashek says it’s not too late to register to vote.

In addition to regular hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, Mashek says the auditor’s office at the courthouse in New Hampton will also be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday for in-person absentee voting, which is available through Monday.

Mashek says her office could still use additional poll workers at the voting precincts on Tuesday.

Ballots on Tuesday must be cast at your voting precinct with polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters should have received a postcard with your voting precinct listed on it. If not, or you’re unsure of your voting precinct, contact your county auditor’s office.
