Law Enforcement Readies for RAGBRAI’s Trek Through Chickasaw County

RAGBRAI will make its trek across and through Chickasaw County on July 29th.

Riders will go through Ionia, New Hampton and Lawler as part of the Day 6 route to the overnight stay that Friday night in West Union.

Chickasaw County Sheriff Mary Hemann gave an update on preparations to the Board of Supervisors Monday morning.

New Hampton Police Chief Zach Nosbisch says their efforts to hire contract officers for the day netted better-than-expected results.

Nosbisch reminds New Hampton residents that RAGBRAI will enter town on West Main Street and to expect streets to be congested, especially downtown.
