Floyd County Budget Audit for 2020-21 Fiscal Year No Glaring Issues

No glaring issues were identified in a Floyd County Audit Report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2021.

During their regular meeting Monday, the Floyd County Board of Supervisors heard a review of the audit from Elizabeth Thyer with Gardiner and Company. Like many counties, Thyer says expenditures are getting more scrutiny from the office of State Auditor Rob Sand in regards to serving public purposes.

Thyer adds that recording proper attribution of grants received by counties is another area of emphasis.

Thyer says the audit largely was “clean” with reasonable reporting of county expenditures.
