About a dozen roads across various north Iowa counties, including Floyd, Chickasaw, Mitchell and Fayette, are targeted for full-depth concrete patchwork starting Monday.
The Iowa Department of Transportation’s New Hampton construction office says the patching projects will require intermittent lane closures, with pilot cars and flaggers directing traffic through the work zones on two-lane highways and single-lane closures on four-lane highways.
All work beginning Monday could last until late May, weather permitting.
Routes affected by construction work include Business U.S. 18 at 18th Street within the city limits of Charles City; sections of U.S. 63 about eight miles to the south and two miles to the north of New Hampton; U.S. 218 in Osage from Iowa 9 north to Popular Street; and U.S.18 in Clermont.
