Snowing For Scholars Fundraiser Dinner

Join for the annual Dollars For Scholars Fundraiser Dinner.  It will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Elks Club. Dinner/Dessert by Dave’s Restaurant, entertainment by the Charles City High School drama students and music by Neva Alden. Tickets are $40 and seating is limited. Meal will be served at 6 pm with a performance by the CCHS drama and speech students at 6:45 p.m. Neva Alden, an up and coming performer from the Des Moines area, will be the main entertainment starting around 7:15 p.m. She describes herself as country vocalist rooted in classic storytelling with the voice of today. She performs a mix of original songs and covers.

We will be having a silent auction with the following items:

Kayak donated by Theisens

Meat Bundles donated by HyVee and Fareway

Tickets to a Des Moines Symphony performance

Tickets to a mens UNI basketball game

Signed Green Bay Packers football

Henry Doorly Zoo tickets

and many other items ….

Meal will be provided by Dave’s Restaurant and includes a choice of roast beef or smothered chicken.
