Charles City Football Player Recognized for Heart

A Charles City High School football player is being recognized for his efforts on the field of play and out in the field.

The Comets’ Zach Chambers has been selected as this week’s  “Beck’s Seeds Player With Heart” by the Brownfield Ag News Network, saluting high school athletes who demonstrate that they are a Player with Heart.

In this excerpt from an interview with Radio Iowa’s Todd Kimm, Chambers talks about his competitive nature, which extends beyond the playing surface to his participation with his fellow FFA members in the state ag issues contest.

Chambers says he has learned the importance of time management between playing four sports, keeping up with school work, and taking care of his ag commitments.

Chambers and the Comets host Mason City on the football field this season Friday night with broadcast time 7 p.m. on Fab Oldies 1580 AM and 103.3 FM KCHA.
