RAGBRAI Riders Come Cross Country to Ride Across Iowa

Bicycling enthusiasts have traveled from across the county to ride across Iowa this week on RAGBRAI, which made its overnight stop in Charles City Thursday night.

Jeremy Friese is originally from Iowa, but now lives in Palo Alto, California and says he’s on his second RAGBRAI, thanks to a little peer pressure.

Ella from Houston, Texas, is on her third RAGBRAI ride at the age of 16.

Ella and her dad, Jeff, have made all three RAGBRAI excursions together on a tandem bike.  Jeff says communication is the key to making a tandem bike function efficiently, but adds, tongue-in-cheek, doing that effectively with a teenager can be challenging.
