Charles City RAGBRAI Makes Final Push for Volunteers

With RAGBRAI now less than 10 days away from descending on Charles City, officials are making a final push for volunteers.

That’s Charles City RAGBRAI hospitality chair Phoebe Pittman, who says they’re also looking for more people to host bicyclists on July 28th for RAGBRAI’s largest one-day contingency of riders.

The huge influx of riders into Charles City is expected because the route from Mason City to Charles City is the shortest leg of this year’s route at about 47 miles which comes on the heels of the route’s longest ride of this year’s route: 100 miles from Emmetsburg to Mason City on July 27th. It’s RAGBRAI’s first one-day “century ride” since 1985.

For more information on volunteering and/or hosting, visit the Charles City RAGBRAI Facebook page or the Chamber of Commerce office.
