You Can Be a ‘Rock Star’ at Charles City’s Party in the Park

The public is invited to supply the musical entertainment for tonight’s “Party in the Park”  in Charles City

It’s “Karaoke Night” and anyone and everyone is invited to be a rock star by showing off their singing talents; or sit back and enjoy the performances of others. Deejayed music will also be provided by  Kenyatta’s Sound from 5 to 9 p.m. in Central Park

Activities tonight also include the “No Shine Truck Show” sponsored by the Charles City Lions Club, featuring prizes, a People’s Choice Award and trivia beginning at 7 p.m.

There’s also a chance to win a new motorcycle from Cedar River Harley-Davidson. Starting at 6 p.m. the first 100 people at their booth can roll the dice. If the dice spell out “H-A-R-L-E-Y,”, you will win a new Custom Ultra Limited motorcycle. There will also be drawings for Harley-Davidson gear.

Admission is free, special tokens are needed for food, beverage and some activities. Tokens can be purchased at the Party in the Park booth.
