Three Arrested, $60,000 in Drugs Seized in Northeast Iowa

Almost $60,000 in drugs were seized and three people are in custody following an early Friday morning drug bust in northeast Iowa.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says a search warrant was executed at a residence in Wadena at about 12:30 a.m. resulting in the discovery of multiple illegal substances along with almost $5,000 in cash.  Narcotics seized include over a half-pound of methamphetamine, over a pound of psychedelic mushrooms, almost five pounds of marijuana, three-and-a-half pounds of THC edibles, approximately 100 THC oil cartridges/vapes, and almost a half-pound of chocolate edible psychedelic mushrooms.  

Arrested was 60-year-old Connie Wilson of Wadena, charged with possession with intent to deliver meth, a Class B felony; possession with intent to deliver psychedelic mushrooms, marijuana, and THC Oils, all Class D felonies; possession of meth, marijuana, psychedelic mushrooms, cannabidiol and drug paraphernalia, all various misdemeanors.  

Also arrested was 52-year-old Frederick Degreif of Wadena, charged with possession of a controlled substance – third offense, meth, marijuana, psychedelic mushrooms, and THC Oils, all Class D felonies; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. 

Also arrested was 56-year-old Steven Boleyn of Wadena, charged with possession of a controlled substance – third offense, a Class D felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.  

 Fayette County Sheriff Marty Fisher estimates the street value of controlled substances seized was worth up to $60,000. This incident remains under investigation.
