Charles City RAGBRAI Publicity Chair Mutch a Rider, Too
It’s one thing to host RAGBRAI riders. It’s another thing to ride RAGBRAI. Cory Mutch has done both.
Mutch is the Publicity Coordinator for the Charles City RAGBRAI Committee as Charles City prepares to be the overnight stay for riders on July 28th. Mutch says experiencing an influx of upwards to 20,000 bicyclists and their support crews can be fun, but the best way to understand RAGBRAI is to ride it yourself.
Mutch says he has ridden RAGBRAI several times, with last year being the first time he rode the full route from border to border.
Mutch says many friendships will also be built between the riders and those who host riders, which is now facilitated through online registration matching riders and hosts based on accommodations being sought versus those being offered.
