Record Highs Reached Across North Iowa Thursday

A number of new record high temperatures were established Thursday across north Iowa.
Data from the National Weather Service in LaCrosse shows Charles City set a new record high for May 12th of 93 degrees , but that wasn’t the warmest temp reached. Oelwein and Decorah both touched 94, along with 94s in Forest City and at the Mason City Municipal Airport, all new record highs for May 12th.
Record highs were also recorded Thursday in New Hampton, Osage and Elkader, each reaching 92 degrees. Fayette and Hampton both set new highs for May12th with 91 each.
