Approximately 400 people and a big band welcomed home 80 NE Iowa Veterans, including veterans from Charles City, New Hampton and Elma, when they returned from the 37th Honor Flight trip Wednesday night. The Heroes Welcome is a tradition of the Cedar Valley Honor Flight. The group is planning their 38th trip in September and are seeking veterans from WW II, Korea and the Vietnam era to apply to go on the free trip.
