Charles City, New Hampton Vets Among Wednesday Honor Flight Participants

80 Eastern Iowa area veterans will be spending the day in Washington, D.C. Wednesday, including at least five vets from Charles City and New Hampton.

Jim Coloff will be traveling with the group and will be providing reports throughout the day on Wednesday.

Honor Flight participants slated to fly to Washington and back include Charles City vets Allen Williams, who served in the Navy from 1969 to 1972; Dennis Raab, who volunteered for the Navy in 1965 and served for ten years; and Alvin Davidson, who served in the Korean War; plus, Ronald Heller and Jerry Barta of New Hampton, who both served during the Vietnam War.
