Charles City Elks Lodge Takes State’s Top Honor

The Charles City Elks Lodge has garnered the state’s top honor.

At the State Convention of the Iowa Elks Association Saturday, Charles City Elks Lodge #418 was recognized as the District and the State Lodge of the Year. The lodge’s 2021-22 Exalted Ruler Sally Mills was presented with the awards from State Vice-President Eric Whipple, who’s also chief of the Charles City Fire Department.

In a Facebook post lodge leaders sent out, “Congratulations to all involved in the successes of the lodge and for assisting whenever possible in the many programs sponsored by the lodge. Special thanks go to the lodge officers and committee members who made these awards possible. It’s nice to see your hard work and dedication recognized by your peers!”

The Elks Lodge #418 website says they have been serving the Charles City area since 1898.
