Nashua Man Injured Crashing His Motorcycle

One person was injured after crashing his motorcycle in a construction zone south of Charles City Friday night.

The Iowa State Patrol says the wreck occurred on Highway 218 near mile marker 224 shortly before 9 p.m. 52-year-old William Cleveland of Nashua was driving a Harley Davidson southbound when the bike went onto the shoulder, then back across the roadway before he was thrown from the motorcycle.

Cleveland was transported by AMR Ambulance to Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The Floyd and Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Offices, Floyd County Rescue and Nashua Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
