Absentee Ballots Available for Iowa June Primaries, Poll Workers Needed

Voters can now submit absentee ballot requests for the June Primary elections to their County Auditor’s Office.

Ballot request forms are available at the auditor’s office, online through www.sos.iowa.gov/elections, or by calling the Auditor’s Office. Chickasaw County Elections Officer Laura Wickham reminds voters the first day to cast an absentee ballot in the auditor’s office is Wednesday, May 18th, which is also the first day auditors’ offices can mail out an absentee ballot.

Other dates to note include Monday, May 23th, the last day to request a ballot to be mailed to you; and Saturday, June 4th, when the Auditor’s Office is open for absentee voting. The last day to vote in person in the Auditor’s Office is Monday, June 6th; and polls on election day, June 7th, will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Floyd County Auditor Gloria Carr adds that new voter registration cards will also be mailed out to all registered voters in Floyd County so voters know their supervisor district, new state senate and house districts, and polling places.

More poll workers are also needed for the June Primary. Those interested can fill out an online form at pollworker.iowa/gov/#form or call your County Auditor’s office. For Chickasaw County, call 641-394-2100. In Floyd County, call 641-257-6131
