Charles City High School prom festivities begin Saturday afternoon at Comet Gym inside the Middle School.
Junior Delaney Ruzicka says doors will open at 3 p.m. with the Grand March of the Prom Court at 4 p.m.
Tickets for the Grand March are $2 with proceeds going to prom activities, which Junior Zach Chambers says will switch to the Youth Enrichment Center on the Floyd County Fairgrounds for the prom dance and, new this year, a centralized prom dinner starting at 7 p.m.
Chambers adds that there’s also a mocktail hour starting at 6 p.m. with the prom dance following after dinner from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. then it’s back to the High School for Post Prom starting at 11:45 p.m.
The theme for this year’s prom is Garden Gala.
