BREAKING: Traffic Pattern at Floyd Interchange to Take Effect Today (04.21)

What was initially scheduled for this past Monday will occur today (04.21) as construction of the new Highway 218/18/27/Avenue of the Saints interchange at Floyd continues to ramp up.

Pete Hjelmstad is the Field Services Coordinator for the Iowa DOT’s Mason City district office. He says traffic flow will make a significant change this afternoon. 

Hjelmstad says today’s traffic changes also include closing off access to the road that leads from the interchange to Valero Renewables.

Hjelmstad says the changes going into effect today will last throughout the entire construction season and should wrap up in November.
