A Decorah man accused of killing his father is pleading not guilty.
The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Aaron Whittle and charged him with first-degree murder in the death of 74-year-old Lawrence Whittle. The younger Whittle is accused of shooting his father to death on March 17 in Aaron Whittle’s home, prior to Lawrence Whittle being reported missing on March 19th.
Lawrence Whittle’s body was recovered shortly after his car was found at Moe Park in eastern rural Winneshiek County.
Aaron Whittle is now scheduled to go on trial beginning on October 3.
