A new railroad crossing is coming to E Street on Charles City’s north side.
City Administrator Steve Diers says the project is a joint effort between the Valero Renewables ethanol plant and the two railroad companies that operate rail lines in town.
Diers says Canadian National is slated to install the new crossing this year, but it could also be late enough it may not be finished until early 2023.
