North Iowa Pass-Through RAGBRAI Towns Get Hosting Instructions

Pass-through RAGBRAI towns, including New Hampton, have received additional information and instructions for this year’s ride in late July.

After the overnight stay in Charles City on July 28th, RAGBRAI comes through New Hampton the next day as part of the route leading to the overnight stop in West Union July 29th. This past Saturday, RAGBRAI hosted an informational session for meeting and pass-through towns. Mayor Bobby Schwickerath says RAGBRAI officials want towns along the route to have the resources to be successful hosts.

Schwickerath adds that RAGBRAI will also be conducting an onsite assessment of New Hampton in about two months.

Schwickerath says they have about $3,000 leftover from RAGBRAI passing through in 2017 to help get planning started for this year’s ride.
