Howard-Winneshiek School District Search for New Superintendent Underway

The Howard-Winneshiek School District continues their search for a new superintendent.

Current Superintendent Ted Ihns will be leaving Cresco to become  Superintendent for the Indianola School District starting July 1st.

School Board President Alison Holten says the deadline for candidates to apply to become his replacement is Thursday, April 7th.

After the application deadline passes, Holten says the School Board will seek additional insight on who they might hire.

The Howard-Winneshiek School District is working with the search firm, McPherson and Jacobson, based in Omaha, Nebraska, to find the replacement for Ihns, who’s been the Superintendent since 2017.
