Man Wanted in Ohio Arrested in Fayette County

A man wanted on drug charges in Ohio picked up additional drug charges last weekend in northeast Iowa.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says they arrested 41-year-old William Troxel at his residence in Randalia shortly before 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning. Troxel was indicted in Medina County, Ohio on aggravated drug charges, but while deputies were making their arrest in Randalia, an odor of marijuana was detected and a search warrant was granted and executed.
During the search of the residence, green leafy substances, wax, and paraphernalia were found and seized, leading to charges against Troxel of possession of a controlled substance – third offense, a Class D felony; three counts of child endangerment, aggravated misdemeanors; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Troxel was booked into the Fayette County Jail and bond was set at $10,000.00 with 10% being approved. He is awaiting extradition to Ohio.
The discovery of drugs in the residence also resulted in the arrest of 34-year-old Valerie Knospe of Randalia. She was taken into custody on a charge of possession of a controlled substance – second offense marijuana, a serious misdemeanor; three counts of child endangerment; and for possession of drug paraphernalia. Knospe was also transported to Fayette County Jail.
