Drop Off Spring Cleanup Set for Charles City Residents

This year’s Spring Cleanup for Charles City residents will be a drop off event; a change City Administrator Steve Diers says has come out of necessity.

Diers says drop offs of one truckload per household can be made from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 28th through May 7th and includes a new option.

Diers adds that residents with bulky items like couches or who don’t have the means to take items to the dump, can make arrangements to have Jendro Sanitation pick them up, but there will be a fee assessed. Diers says Charles City High School students and members of the Lions and Rotary clubs will be assisting Jendro with pickup operations.

Proof of Charles City residency is required to drop off items at the dump site.
