Marble Rock, Lawler Will be RAGBRAI “Meeting Towns”

It’s official, Marble Rock will be a “meeting town” for the Mason City-to- Charles City leg of this year’s RAGBRAI route.
Mayor Jerry Engelhardt says serving as a place for RAGBRAI support vehicles to meet up with their bike riders is a chance to showcase their rural Floyd County community.
While RAGBRAI has come through Marble Rock before, Engelhardt says they’re expecting an even bigger influx of traffic than in 2017.
Engelhardt says they’re slated to meet with RAGBRAI officials on April 2 in Mason City for more information and instructions, as will the City of Lawler, which has also been approved as a meeting town.
The full RAGBRAI route is expected to be announced this weekend after it was postponed the weekend of March 13th due the tornadoes of March 5th that organizers determined required the attention of The Des Moines Register, the ride’s media partner.
RAGBRAI will make overnight stays in Mason City on July 27th, in Charles City on July 28th, and in West Union on July 29th.
