Increased Law Enforcement on Roads in Mason City, Clear Lake Area Saturday

Motorists driving in the Mason City/Clear Lake area this weekend may notice an increased presence on the roads by law enforcement.

Trooper Tom Williams says the Iowa State Patrol is working on special traffic enforcement Saturday with the Mason City and Clear Lake police departments and the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office.

Williams says one of their areas of concentration Saturday night is the area around Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, which will be hosting the cover band, Hairball.

Williams also has safety advice for those celebrating St. Patrick’s Day through the weekend.

Williams notes that the Iowa State Patrol is also working with local authorities on special traffic enforcement Thursday (03.17) along Highway 20 in north Central Iowa.
