Reveal of Full RAGBRAI 2022 Route Delayed

Overnight RAGBRAI towns including Charles City, Mason City and West Union will have to wait another couple of weeks before the full 2022 route is announced.
Information on RAGBRAI.com reads that, “Due to the recent deadly tornadoes, we’ve made the decision to hold the full release of the route until later to give our partners at the Des Moines Register time to focus their efforts on keeping Iowa informed. Our updated schedule is to release the full route on Sunday, March 27 in the Des Moines Register and DesMoinesRegister.com. Daily map releases will be found on RAGBRAI.com and our social channels.”
The website also says that last Thursday the RAGBRAI team spent the day at the Sheraton West Des Moines with the eight overnight towns and several valued partners and sponsors for an all-day workshop. The route planning gives consideration to campgrounds, beer gardens, entertainment, rider experience, food safety, rider safety, road safety, and other criteria. The RAGBRAI team is not expected to be back on the road until March 21st when they visit the eastern part of the state.
RAGBRAI will make overnight stops in Mason City July 27th, Charles City 28th and West Union July 29th.
