Waverly Police Department Gets Their Cow

Sometimes law enforcement gets their man and sometimes they get their—cow.

It took about two hours, but the Waverly Police Department and several citizens were able to corral a cow which managed to escape Wednesday afternoon. In a Facebook post, police say the cow was originally loaded onto a trailer and was to be transported to a farm outside of Waverly, but when the driver got home he realized one cow was missing.

The cow got loose from the trailer in the Northwest part of Waverly and worked its way down to Kohlman Park. It took a couple of hours, but police and helpful citizens got the cow corralled back into the trailer and it was transported safely back to the farm.
