Charles City’s Carly Stevenson Returns Home

Six months and one day after collapsing due to blood clots in her lungs, Charles City’s Carly Stevenson is back in her own home.

Carly was welcomed back to Charles City Wednesday afternoon with a special caravan of support that her mom, Michelle Stevenson, says was overwhelming for the entire family.

Michelle says her daughter continues her recovery and is doing very well.

Michelle adds that Carly is not walking yet, but her body is functioning, She says Carly’s body needs to relearn how to do what her brain is telling her body to do.

Michelle says Carly is able to have her friends visit, but they should contact the family first and, it’s still critical for Carly’s immune system that visitors are healthy and well themselves.
