A north Iowa woman missing for three days has been found and is safe.
The Oelwein Police Department says they received a report of a missing adult on Sunday (December 5). The missing person’s report indicated that the 32-year-old female was a dependent adult and that no one had seen or been able to reach this female for nearly 24 hours. Officers met with a number of individuals in reference to this report.
On Wednesday (December 8), the female was located safely and without incident. The Waterloo and Independence police departments and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation assisted with the search and investigation.
Also on Wednesday, Oelwein Police arrested 27-year-old Thomas Wilds of Oelwein shortly after 2 p.m. in the 700 block of South Frederick Avenue. Wilds was wanted on a Fayette County warrant for an original charge of domestic abuse assault, a serious misdemeanor.
