The deadline for applications for temporary Floyd County Engineer is Friday.
The Floyd County Board of Supervisors is seeking qualified applicants to help prepare the fiscal year 2022-2023 budgets for County Engineer, Road Clearing, and Collection Site departments, the county 5-year construction plan, and other duties as agreed upon. Applicant must enter into a temporary contract for services provided for the duration of the contract based on an hourly rate.
Applications and/or resumes must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. Friday by mail, at the County Auditor’s office, or online at www.floydcoia.org.
The County is also taking applications for a full-time County Engineer with a submission deadline of December 6. Officials hope to make a hire by December 31st.
Previous County Engineer Dusty Rolando resigned on October 1st following a second OWI arrest, which also led to his resignation as Chickasaw County Engineer. He had been the shared engineer for both counties for 20 years.
The Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors promoted Roman Lensing to their County Engineer position. He’s been with the department for eight years.
