Andrews Re-elected Charles City Mayor; Schrodt, Fox, Mack to School Board

Dean Andrews has won a second 4-year term as Mayor of Charles City.

The unofficial results show the incumbent received 784 votes compared to 372 for challenger Richard Severin. Andrews says he hopes his re-election is a “stamp of approval” from constituents,


In the race for Charles City School Board, the top three vote getters were David Schrodt with 1,070, Kathryn Fox with 943, and incumbent Josh Mack with 853.  Schrodt says he’s happy voters were receptive to his campaign message.

Claire Jung finished a close fourth with 830 votes with Lori Otto finishing just two votes behind in fifth with 828. Staci Taylor received 519 votes.
